GOD'S Holy Days

The Fast Of Trumpets

THE SEVEN ANNUAL HOLY PERIODS - 4 OF 7

Trumpets:  The fast of Trumpets, the first day of the seventh month (Ethanim), heralded the arrival of The LORD'S Day, events of Atonement, and the glorious Solemn Assembly.   And Ethanim prefigured the year 6001 from Creation which commenced at sundown 16 April 1996.   Now, The LORD'S Day lasts for 1,000 years (Leviticus 23:23-25; Psalm 81:3; Numbers 10:1-10; Revelation 1:10; 6:17; 8:1-6, etc.; Zechariah 9:14).

A Fast Day:  Since the Seventh New Moon and Trumpets occur on the same day, the annual Holy Day of Trumpets obviously is a fast day for believers.

The Severe Tribulations and The Pause Of Half An Hour (21 years) establish that the beginning of Trumpets commenced 21 years before the end of the 35 years of Severe Tribulations.   Whereas, the 14 Preparation Years through Passover complete the first 35 years of the Final 42 Year-Hour.   (Revelation 8:1 to 16:21; Leviticus 26:21-33; Isaiah 26:19-21; Matthew 24:21).

42 years, 35 years, 21 years, 14 years, and the LORD'S Day began in Spring 1996 AD

The Birth Of The Congregation (the child: John 3:3):  Now, when a child is born it takes about 21 years to mature (Revelation 8:1).   Note:  Revelation 6:17 speaks of The LORD'S Day as "the great day of His wrath is come."   Then Revelation 7 speaks of the Little Flock, the separated lambs (7:3-8), and then the Main Harvest of the Firstfruits (7:9) before speaking of their salvation (7:10-17).   Thus, the virgin birth of the child materialized well before the marriage is to be consummated (Isaiah 66:7-11; John 16:20-23; Revelation 12:2; Jeremiah 22:23).   Note:  Everyone is still spread worldwide as the tares must now be separated (Matthew 13:30; Hosea 6:11).

The Betrothal To GOD:  The Trumpets marked the first year of the first 3½ year interval of the Betrothal.   And this special Betrothal is prefigured by the first day of The Week Of Unleavened Bread (View II).   Thus, the Betrothal to GOD (Hosea 2:19-20) commenced to materialize with the fast of Trumpets (Isaiah 58:1-2).

The Gleanings:  When the harvest is compete the Gleanings are those which have been left behind.   Leviticus inserts mention of the Gleanings following Pentecost but before Trumpets (Leviticus 23:22; 19:9-10; Deuteronomy 24:19-22; Isaiah 56:8; John 10:16).   That is, when the Trumpets commenced to sound both the Little Flock and The Main Harvest of the Firstfruits had been identified.   And when the harvest of the Firstfruits has been complete both the Little Flock and the Main Harvest of the Firstfruits must wait for The Gleanings (Revelation 6:11).   The Gleanings, of course, are those who haven't quite made it yet.   Remember, the warning to, "come out of her, My people" (Revelation 18:4; Jeremiah 51:6; Deuteronomy 32:35; Zechariah 2:6)?   Matters have been broadly publicized.   Even the admonitions to come out before the Severe Tribulations and before The LORD'S Day commenced (Matthew 24:20-21) have been well known.   Thus, when the Trumpets began to sound, they sounded the cut off point ... now the Gleanings are those who must die in order to enter the eternal Congregation (Revelation 6:11; 13:15; 14:13; 20:4).

A Communications Device:  The Trumpet, of course, is an historic communications device (Numbers 10:1-10) and the great Trumpet conjures up visions of a horn of gigantic proportions impossible for a human to blow.   However, today the great Trumpet is sounding as the modern Internet is heard around the world.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown ...."

Isaiah 27:13

How else would a Prophet of old describe the modern Internet?   Therefore, people have been warned to make themselves ready, to be ready when the Trumpet sounds.   And, today that great Trumpet is sounding long and louder and louder (Jeremiah 4:5,19,21-22; Psalm 47:5; II Samuel 6:15).

The Trumpet Also Sounds On The Third Day:

Trumpets Heralded Both The Seventh And The Third Day

When the Trumpet sounds loud and long on The Third Day (i.e. loud: it can be heard around the world; long: it can be heard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week), the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people (Exodus 19:4-7,11-13,15-16,19-20).   But only a Little Flock, the Firstfruits, will be ready.

The Trumpets Prefigure Atonement: The Fast of Trumpets heralded the more stupendous events in the history of humanity.   And since the Fast of Trumpets occurs on the Fast of the New Moon identifying the seventh month, when the True overtakes the Image, events of Trumpets also prefigure Atonement.
